Information on filing an application for a 60 litres and 80 litres residual waste container
Dear fellow citizens,
Since 01.01.2011, residual waste containers in the sizes of 60 litres and 80 litres may be provided in addition to the previous containers with 120 litres, 240 litres and 1,100 litres. A separate application must be filed for each property. The application may only be filed by the property owner. Tenants should submit their wishes to their lessor.
10 litres of residual waste as per week and person of all persons living on the property are taken as a basis. The following table for the ordering of the containers results from this. However, the amount of waste which accrues on the property on average in the long run is decisive for the container size. If the container is too small, you as the owner will be obliged to use a container of a sufficient size regardless of the above mentioned scale of persons. If the number of persons living on the property increases at a later point in time, you will be obliged to report this to the city administration of Jülich under the telephone number +49 (0)2461-630. The fees for the year 2011 are as follows:

The fee for the additional bag amounts to 4,90 per piece.
The fee for the replacement of a waste container amounts to € 27.50 per replacement.
Moreover, there is the possibility to build a waste community with a directly adjacent property for all container sizes. For this, a separate application form can be obtained under the telephone number +49 (0)2461/63-252. The above mentioned numbers of persons in total do apply, i.e. the number of both properties added together.
If the application is affirmed and there are no queries, the previous waste container is automatically exchanged after one of the following refuse collections. Until then, you will be able to use the old waste container without any restrictions. The calculation of fees depends on the entry date of your application and the fees will be calculated as per the 01. of the respectively following month and independent of the day on which the exchange takes place.
The approval of the application takes place upon reserve of withdrawal. If it is determined that the actual amount of waste exceeds the size of the container, you may be obliged to use a larger container.
