Masterpieces of Romantic landscape painting - Schirmer's journey through Italy.
In the 19th century, the up-and-coming painter Johann Wilhelm Schirmer travelled through Italy and was fascinated by the beautiful landscape, the Mediterranean light and the ancient Roman culture. Dr. Christoph Fischer invites you to accompany Schirmer on his journey that shaped his style of painting.
We meet at the Information-centre in the citadel. The tour is free of charge, the regular admission must be paid.
